The secluded hilltop retreat of explorer, adventurer, and author Christina Dodwell, High Cloud Farm, a perfect location for 3 generation celebrations, resonates with the spirit of her travels, with maps, books, pictures and artefacts in evidence everywhere. This remote rural cottage on the Wales borders offers total privacy as a large party house or holiday retreat. High Cloud is unsuitable for stag groups or raucous celebrations.

Stylish and spacious, High Cloud Farm comprises a farmhouse and barn, sleeping up to 24 in 10 bedrooms. With panoramic rural views amidst rolling Welsh hills and forest, you can see the ruins of Raglan Castle in mid distance and a backdrop of Sugarloaf Mountain, it creates a fantastic atmosphere to see the sun set from the terrace and outdoor heated swimming pool (available for bookings between May 1st and Oct 31st - although please note that the heat of the pool is goverened to some extent by the outside weather conditions in the early/later months).

Set in a remote 30 acre site, you experience a natural calm and quiet, but with plenty of things to do on-site. With large fields, woodland, and an orchard joined together by a grassy path suitable for either walking or jogging. There are sun terraces, a veranda, a croquet lawn and grassy area for ball games.

Designed with an airy quality featuring many home comforts, fully equipped and furnished to a high standard, you can stay in either the main farmhouse with a swimming pool and hot tub outside or relax in the Barn with the games room and snug.  Should you wish to bring dogs on your holiday then there is plenty of space for them to run around and explore too!

You also have 3 kitchens and two lounges which make staying here perfect for mixed age family groups. If you’re looking for a house to host a celebration there is plenty of room to spread out into.
